Study how miRNAs regulate Stem cell homeostasis and differentiation

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression and influence numerous cellular functions. Together with mature RNAs and small molecules, mature miRNAs can induce forced reprogramming of somatic cells. They are considered as key regulators in stem cell development. (1, 2)

But what if you want to profile the expression of human IPS (stem cell) related miRNAs?

Expression profiling of miRNAs in various samples (tissues or cells) allow the study of differential miRNA expression and their involvement in a particular cellular event. qPCR is the method of choice for such an analysis. Ready-to-use qPCR arrays are now available for profiling the expressions of pre-defined sets of miRNAs focused in Stem cell homeostasis and differentiation. The resulting differential expressions enable you to identify those miRNAs that are of biological relevance in iPSC / Stem cell.

Genocopoeia has recently released a miRNA qPCR array that profiles 168 miRNAs associated with stem cell differentiation and homeostasis.

168 stem cell differentiation miRNAs in one qPCR array

The miProfile™ human IPS (Stem cell) miRNA qPCR arrays profile 168 miRNAs identified for their association with stem cell homeostasis and differentiation. This ready-to-use and reproducible array detects miRNA from as little as 10 pg of small RNA (or 20 pg of total RNA) and distinguishes miRNAs with single nucleotide mismatches.
